Cortland started life as a “you-had-to-be-there” limited edition, created for the Magic In The Mountains Artisan Retreat in 2024, held in Cortland, New York. She was supposed to be a special guest shade… and then promptly stole the whole show. Flockers wouldn’t stop asking for her, so she graduated from retreat exclusive to full-time troublemaker and became the OG chameleon of the Shifty Flock.
She’s a coral-based chameleon with rich hints of magenta and gold that slide in as you tilt and turn your piece, like sunset light shifting across the mountains. Over dark bases, Cortland throws serious attitude: warm coral one second, flashes of pink and molten gold the next. Pair her with warm neutrals, metallics, or deep jewel tones when you want a piece that looks different from every angle and absolutely refuses to be ignored.
📝 Office Assistant Memo: Cortland was supposed to be a limited guest, but she refused to leave. Now she’s a full-time troublemaker. (P.S. Pearl thinks Cortland is an actual sunset. She keeps waiting for the 'sun' to go down inside the jar so she can go home. We’ve explained that the magic is in the resin, not a clock, but she’s still checking her tiny watch.)
